I am a music journalist and previously served as the founding editor-in-chief of Rolling Stone MENA.

I primarily focus on the emerging Arabic music scene and artists from the Middle East, North Africa, and its global diaspora communities. 

I’ve profiled artists, written in-depth features, and appeared on podcasts and television programs to contextualize music from the MENA region.

I’ve had the good fortune of writing about Arabic music and Arab artists for Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, The New York Times, NPR, The Guardian, among other publications.
